Donkey Transportation
We have the convenience of several international export transportation
companies, just a few hours away from our donkey ranch. Please contact them for
quotes on international export. We can also recommend a reputable
transport company that ships within the continental USA.
Lay-Away Plan
We also do lay-away
plans to help you with your miniature donkey purchase. We ask for
a deposit of 1/3 the cost of the donkey as a down-payment and up to 6
months to pay them off. We do not have a standard lay-away plan
for mature jacks, but we will work with the buyer to come up with a
mutually acceptable plan/agreement. We understand that things can
happen, so we allow a 7 day grace period where a deposit will be
returned if something unforeseeable occurs.
All our donkeys receive regular vaccinations, hoof care, worming, and another important thing - lots of love & attention. All are health-guaranteed, receive a negative coggins, a new halter and lead, along with 'operating instructions' when they go to their new home. We believe in finding the best possible homes for our little treasures. We do not sell miniatures as guard donkeys, nor do we sell "only child" donkeys! Minis are not big enough to be guards, and in order to be happy, a donkey should have at least one buddy - preferably another donkey. If you are looking for a guard, look for a standard size donkey. We have a 47" standard jenny to "guard" our treasured minis, along with Anatolian Shepard herd guard dogs. We also will not sell to a "weekend only" home. We feel any animal should have supervision and daily love and care.

These are some of our silly, spoiled girls. The dark brown standard jenny on the right (D-4), does a good job of guarding our donkey "littles".
We have carefully chosen our jacks and jennets for conformation, excellent teeth and wonderful personality. This is very important, as they pass these genetics on to their offspring. Our goal is to produce a very nice quality, extra small, extra loveable donkey. Our donkeys are extremely sociable and loving - they get daily hugs and nose kisses and are highly insulted if you are in a hurry and overlook them. They are actually spoiled almost to the point of being little pests, but that's the way I like them! They think the world revolves around them and are very self-confident - that's the way it should be, in my opinion. Our herd is small sized (31" and under for the most part), stocky and compact, with cute heads, nice legs and nice, wide chests. We microchip our donkeys to safeguard their pedigree and identity and our herd sires are dna typed.
I have worked for many years to collect and produce very small, stocky and correct miniature donkeys with delightful color and personality. We occasionally have a mature jennet for sale, but most times, we have foals for sale - foals that have been painstakingly produced with much thought and care. I do not believe in having a large herd, as I don't believe in flooding the market and I prefer to give my love and attention to a small number of donkeys. I believe in the time and effort required to produce the type of donkey that I prefer, with stocky, correct conformation - one that gets lots of attention and spoiling. A donkey that is raised with love and care is a delight to own. They think nothing of trying to plop down in your lap for nose kisses, snuggling, and a nice nap. This is a bit of a problem as they grow from foals and are more than a lapful - LOL.
I predominately breed for dark spotted and red, along with very dark colors, but I also have a few small gray jennets to preserve the integrity and pedigree of the miniature Mediterranean gray donkey. In my opinion, there is nothing prettier than a stocky gray donkey. Regardless of color, I concentrate on conformation and size, not simply color - conformation comes first.
We will continue to concentrate on breeding for what we like the best, 28"-31.5" small, compact and correct miniature donkeys with cute little heads and sassy, spoiled personalities. These donkeys are smaller than most!

Please let me know if you are interested in a particular jennet's foal and I will be happy to contact you. I have a waiting list for particular sizes/colors/types,and I would be honored to add you to my list. Since I only breed for a few foals each year, I am not always able to provide exactly what you are looking for "immediately".

Harley is one sweet little jennet, along with being brown spotted. Lots of nice, small donkeys in her background - lots of red,
spotted and dark. Harley's dam, Priscilla, is registered at 30.75", but is actually less than
30". I expect Harley to mature at approximately 30".

Priscilla is a George Jones great
granddaughter, with many more nice, small donkeys in her pedigree, including GP
Cool Hand Luke, Fisher's Tiny Gideon and the Someday's lineage. She is a
little more refined than I prefer, but has the prettiest little head, and most of the qualities I look for in a
jennet. Priscilla is registered at 30.75", but
measures approximately 30".
