HERD SIRES

Allow us to introduce Pep-R-Oni, our dark red herd sire, and Pepe Petit, our dark brown/white spotted, red-based herd sire. They are compact and correct, very small, and have a particular look that we like. Each of our herd sires are dna typed. We are very particular about our donkeys and demand that our jacks produce as well, or better than themselves. If you like small, stocky, correct donkeys, these guys are producing this type foal.

We have sold several of our nice donkeys, including some spectacular herd sires. No matter how nice the jack, we prefer to keep our number of jacks in proportion to our number of jennets when possible. Having enough jennets for each jack promotes a happier, more content jack, thus more peace on the home front.

We will continue to concentrate on breeding for what we like the best, 28"-31.5" small, compact and correct miniature donkeys with cute little heads and sassy, spoiled personalities.

What a beautiful little guy - very small, compact and super square! We have matched Pepe with several of our jennets for 2010 foals. With Pepe's red background, he has been producing a wide range of small, gorgeous foals from dark red to spotted, even black with no cross. He has definitely proven himself as a superior herd sire.
